Dialight Project Support keeps lighting decisions connected

A project moves through people, documents and deadlines. This support path ties the application brief to samples, submittals, release information and post-handover records without treating any one document as a substitute for site validation.

Support packages aligned to a decision

01

Selection package

Application conditions, candidate families, optical distribution, luminous flux, CCT, CRI, voltage, enclosure and dimming interface are captured in one brief. Final product suitability remains subject to current documentation.

02

Sample and validation package

A representative fixture or sample bay can help teams inspect glare, color appearance, mounting and controls behavior. Results apply to the tested configuration and site zone; they should not be extrapolated without checking changed conditions.

03

Release and handover package

Approved options, delivery checkpoints, installation references and warranty records are organized for the contractor and facility team. Availability and timing are confirmed at quotation and release, not assumed from an earlier schedule.

A four-gate project timeline

  1. 1. Define

Record environment, mounting, task, illuminance target, controls sequence, certification geography and required evidence.

  2. 2. Verify

Review IES or LDT data, configuration documentation and—where useful—a sample under representative conditions.

  3. 3. Release

Reconcile approved options, quantities, destination and milestone dates before procurement authorization.

  4. 4. Handover

Transfer installation, commissioning and warranty records; qualified teams verify performance at the completed site.

Specification resources

Ask for the evidence that matches the review

Different decisions require different artifacts. A photometric file supports calculation, while a safety listing addresses a defined certification scope. Neither establishes every installed result.

IES / LDT files

Use the file for the exact optical configuration and confirm orientation in the calculation model.

LM-79 context

Review test conditions and reported electrical and photometric values for the represented product.

LM-80 and TM-21 context

Separate LED package maintenance data and projection methodology from the complete luminaire warranty.

Interface schedule

Document DALI-2 or 0-10V behavior, sensor responsibilities, emergency mode and commissioning ownership.

Boundaries to retain in the project record

Photometric calculations depend on geometry and reflectance; sample observations depend on the tested zone; IP ratings do not independently define chemical compatibility; lifetime projections do not guarantee every field condition. Final installation must comply with local codes and current product instructions.
